About Segway
Engineering Test Technician - System Integrity
Segway Inc. is searching for a safety conscientious technician who has experience working in an industrial environment with hazardous voltages and enjoys performing controlled testing of complex mechanical and electrical systems, assuring integrity of test data, and reporting test results critical for product development. This role demands extensive travel to off-site testing facilities for extended periods of time, high energy and the ability to consistently lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds to disassemble, assemble, pack and secure product to custom test fixtures and adapters.
Education and Experience Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an engineering discipline, demonstrated knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering technology, and an understanding of common technical aspects of environmental and electromagnetic compatability testing of new products. Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time. Computer literate and proficient with data acquisition, archiving, analysis, charting and data transmission to others.
If your technical expertise includes an understanding of CISPR 22 (EN 55022), FCC CFR 47 part 15B, IEC 68000 services for Environmental Testing, MIL-STD 810F, CSA/UL/EN 60950, CSA/EN 60335, IEC/EN 61000-4-1 through 8, IEEE 802.11 (wireless radio 2.4 GHz test), Certification Process for Wireless for FCC/IC and Individual international Country Certifications/ UL 94,73 and IEC 60529 Degrees of Protection for Enclosures we want to speak with you!
